NEW SERVICE AIMS TO TAKE DRINK-DRIVING OFF OUR ROADS

Everybody knows that Drink-Driving is a bad idea but not everybody understands how devastating the results of making a poor decision can be, until it is too late.

Now a local company, ProBuddy, aims to help make our roads safer by offering a professional designated driver service that provides affordable chauffeurs to drive clients home in their own vehicles.

“A taxi will get you home but next day you still have the hassle of returning to get your car, along with the worry of overnight car-park damage, theft or vandalism” said ProBuddy CEO, Steve Mason. “With ProBuddy you have the security and convenience of getting both you and your car home safely without having to pay overnight parking fees that are as much as 25€ in hotspots such as Puerto Banus.” 

Available either last-minute or by pre-booking (which can also be done via the company´s GPS enabled smart-phone app) ProBuddy currently cover Marbella, San Pedro, Benahavis and Estepona to the whole of the Costa del Sol.

“With the Costa offering so many temptations and seemingly endless opportunities to get caught up in that impromptu celebration, we like to think of ourselves as a socially responsible 4^th emergency service” said Mason. “Basically we just want to make it easy and affordable for people to do the right thing.”   

ProBuddy charge 1.50€ per km of your journey (with no minimum) plus a 7€ call-out charge that is waived for first-time users of the service. Chauffeurs are also available to rent by the hour for more mundane tasks such as school runs, medical appointments, dropping vehicles for servicing or even airport runs.
